More monarchs

I do not usually work small, but the Haywood County Arts Council (HCAC) Small Small Works show is in Nov.& Dec. The painting that I showed in the Master Gardener show was 20″x16″. This one is 6″x6″. Change of scale, brushes, focus.

GMO Flower

Not really.   What is the goal?  The flower industry is lucrative.  I could use some money.  Every movement has an effect.  How do we prioritize?  Short term vs. long term consequences.6-25-14

I am showing a detail of a painting that I’m working on.  It’s acrylic on gessoed paper.  I am also using latex paint, the cute samples that Lowes is putting out each season.  I’m liking this one, the way that the paint is lively.Ravens--detail

Spring

I’ve been photographing the spring blooms.  They are just a starting point for my paintings.  I did this painting two years ago, but the azaleas look similar every year.  A painting is Yellow-Flame-Azalea an effort to recognize a moment in the passage.
