A friend brought us plenty of firewood to get through the winter while Gregg was awaiting hip replacement surgery. An unexpected gesture, a godsend.
Hurricane Helene
Even being in the middle of it, the destruction is hard to believe. Gregg and I went for eight days without power, but we had food, water, and many godsends. Brandon Mitchell from Virginia and his buddy brought a truckload of supplies and a starlink. Brandon wandered into my studio, and really looked. Most people are off put. He liked this one, and we made a deal. THANKS to all of the volunteers helping us get through this.
Chicory and Wildflowers
Summer in WNC.
Out of the Blue
I made this in 2020. It’s on it’s way to it’s new home in New Hampshire. Thanks, Jill and Chip
Critters keep sneaking into my paintings
In April it was a squirrel falling from the birdfeeder. Now, on a peaceful morning walk, a humming bird flew in the top right side. I love living in the country.
Underground Landscape Yellow
Things not seen. Faith, gravity, and spring underground.
Tsunami
This is about being blindsided.
Squirrel
The season is changing, and we put the last of the bird seed in the feeder. This squirrel jumps up and hangs from his/her back legs. Killer abs to curl up and get a seed. Now the hummingbird feeder is up, and it will have to go out to gather seeds.
orphans from the compost heap
I never was able to grow an avocado tree from a seed. My compost heap did. I dug it up, and put it in a bucket, to go inside for the winter. A while later another plant presented itself in that pot,
a squash of some kind. This morning the squash bloomed. Summer color in Dec.!
Susana Lily in blue and orange
I painted the same lily twice.
