The eyes have it

I am not studying eyes, obviously.  They are a symbol, a holder of emotions.  Is anger pink and greed black?  Does Mr. Potato Head have his angry eyes?6-19-13

Women wondering

6-18-13a16-18-13b1I have pushed my series “Eye Wonder” .  Now I am adding collage and words to the dripped/streamed paintings.

I opened an Etsy store under my name, if you would like to see more of the “Eye Wonder” series.6-18-13c

Whole Bloomin’ Thing is Sat.

Do you have a spot for a round piece of art.  Check out my abstract Dahlia.  Or how about a salamander.  My booth will be in front of Art on Depot.  I’ve made a deal with my brother in TX.  Sat. he gets the rain and I get the sun!5-5-135-5-13a

Dahlia

This round background lends itself to a dense circular bloom, the dahlia.   They come in all colors and sizes.  Remember, t4-30-13his is a painting, not a living flower.

A square muse

Most of the Modern Muse series have been on round pieces of plywood.  This one, unnamed at this time,  snuck in.  The squares refer to QR codes.2-14-13

Hats

The Fine Ladies “made” their hats for an afternoon tea.  This is a painting, not a portrait of a lady or a hat.  I’m still struggling with acrylics.  Here’s a chapter of that struggle.12-10-12

Muse of Democracy

I’m not sure what the job of my 21st century muses is, but everybody’s getting new titles and job descriptions.  The board is round.  Democracy is hard work.6-11-12

Freedom

I had a painting that I felt obligated too.  Today it disappeared under this one.  Too early to tell, but I’m glad the other one is gone.5-23-12

Mucking with nature

A farmer is the only business person that you interact with three times a day.  Giant agro companies force farmers to buy their trade- marked seeds.  Here are some ideas of what is pushing the idea very far, in a scary way.5-9-125-9-12a
