This panel is 80″x12″.
snowed in, again
This is ridiculous! You’d think we were still in Chicago! I AM getting a lot of work done, but I would love to be able to drive to town when I want to.
I’ve tried painting my driveway, not in western perspective, but flat like African art. However I’ve put the mountain in “correctly”. To get all of the snow you’d think I’d just paint it titanium white, w/ a black ribbon for the road. There was a lot of color in the River, so I tried it. Now I have to wait for it to dry enuf to add in some white hightlights. Also, the light is very different when it’s snowing, than when the sun comes out. THAW! I’ll make the rest up! More on the Tree of Life.
Tree of Life
I think I’m “just before” killing this painting. I don’t know what’s bothering me. Maybe I was foolish to try such and odd ratio. This is not the golden mien!
edges
I got off axis from this panel to show the edges I painted. I was going to go w/ flat black edges, but the other panels look good with the wraparound.
top heavy
I’m more excited about the spirals, I don’t know why. This is going the right way, but as I post this I notice that all the spirals at the top are the same width. Break it up!
Yeah! Sunshine!
I worked more on the river.
snowed in
The advantage of being snowed in is I get a lot of work done.
The moon needs work
You may not believe this, but I can see things in these photos that I miss in the studio. Since I’m using a flash it highlights things. Instead of glowing, my moon looks like it’s having a solar flare. So I know what this afternoons project it.
Several
I work on several paintings at once. Some need to dry and some need time to percolate in my mind. “Vision” has monofilament running thru it. The socket is not part of the art! River is part of the spirals.2-9-10
tree
The tree is thrusting into space. If birds evolved from dinosaurs, what will humans evolve into? Will the trees evolve so they can grow into space?
