We’ve been working on displaying our work in the classroom next to my studio. Come by and see us!
Moving Canna Screen
We are taking the Canna Screen out of Art on Depot tomorrow, unless you swoop in and buy it! 80″x60″, oil on two panels.
Day of the Dead
A Good Marriage
Architecturally when walls made of different materials are joined, it is called a marriage. This screen- oil on two panels, depicts a log wall meeting a hand stacked stone fire place. See this piece in the window at Art On Depot in Waynesville.
Hand built
All of the old farm buildings were built by hand, with local materials. Those materials have weathered and aged into beauty. This painting of a potato barn is at Art on Depot, Waynesville.
Gallery Support
Thanks to Cathey Bolton, owner of Art on Depot, who represents me. We popped into the gallery today because Donna, Gregg’s mom was visiting. She believes it is the best gallery in Waynesville, and I agree! Cathey made my day by asking to buy this painting of mine! We are hoping for a good season of art sales through her gallery!
Does size matter?
This screen is 80″x 68″. The image in yesterday’s post is 5″x7″.
Cereus
The huge bloom is from a Cereus cactus. This oil on canvas painting is at Art on Depot in Waynesville, NC. Drop by and see it and my other new paintings!
Humor
Many of my paintings are about women and their predicaments. I try to infuse some humor into them. When stuff blindsides you, do you wake up feeling like this woman?
My boys are friends.
Here’s the painting I did a long time ago. Yesterday someone posted the original photo.
