Painting as I see it.
Forrest suggested that we do a video to show the process of creating each image in this series, which I call Eye Wonder. Of course parts are missing from the camera and our editing software is out of date. I am going to post five of the series today, in the order they were done. Each one turns out unique. I am adding more media, as I go.
I had a wonderful time yesterday visiting Cori Saraceni in her studio. We sparked ideas off of each other. She was frustrated that I don’t show details of my work. I had never thought of it! So this is “Hurricane Sandy” and the detail is her mouth. This piece is collage on plywood. The perfectly round high grade plywood is being sold by the Waynesville, NC, 
Habitat Restore.
I accepted this commission with reservations. The ceramic frog was a gift, and it needs a setting. The lily pad was a fun time to play with paint.
Yesterday, by happenstance, an artist visited my studio. He liked this self portrait with small mirrors.
This series is called Eye Wonder. All of them are done on 8″x10″ paper. The enamel paint makes a pattern of eyes or glasses, nose, lips, and wrinkles! The each one is developed through as many processes and layers as I can think of. The words are mostly random, leaving room for you to interpret what is going on with this individual, at this time. These are for sale thru my store on Etsy.com. Type in my name and there you are!
I have pushed my series “Eye Wonder” . Now I am adding collage and words to the dripped/streamed paintings.

With tornadoes and hurricanes, and other freak weather, maybe she is wondering about the weather.
Dash between the raindrops tomorrow, to Frog Level. My booth will be in front of Art on Depot, or inside, if it’s pouring. I have lots of new and “affordable”( never say cheap!) original art pieces. 
Do you have a spot for a round piece of art. Check out my abstract Dahlia. Or how about a salamander. My booth will be in front of Art on Depot. I’ve made a deal with my brother in TX. Sat. he gets the rain and I get the sun!
Should I call these “Sketchy Girls”? They are so much fun to make! I’ll be showing them on May 11, 2013 down in Frog Level at the fair. 
This is my second year doing the street fair that celebrates spring. These are small multi-media works, that will be very affordable. Flowers and octopi are spring like, right?
