What happens when you ignore your senses? Instead of watching an electronic device, use your sense of sight to look around you. What is going on in nature around you? More trees, or less? Other senses. Is your environment quieter and peaceful, or noisier and more stressful. Can you affect anything?

I worked on unique greeting cards through the winter. You can send it to a loved one, or mat and frame it for yourself! A selection is at Art on Depot in Waynesville.

Recyled plastic sign board
I like these women!
They don’t look important enough to add to a grant application, but I find them coming along when I need them. Today,s new discovery was wiping acrylic over the enamel drips. Previous faces were tinted with pastels.
The eyes have it!
Getting ready for the Open House Sunday. There will be food, so take a nice drive into the country and check it out!
Open house next Sunday
I was baffled as to how to show a bunch of paintings of ladies with attitude together. This bulletin board in my studio is working great. Each “portrait” is mounted on foam core, sleeved in plastic, and T-pinned to the board. This is for simplicity and affordability. Each person can choose their own framing options.
These are variations on a painting I did years ago of a blanket flower. You can see how my work evolves and grows.

I like the series approach with the dripped enamel. How about cats? We are considering how to display the faces of the Eye Wonder series for the Open House on Sept.22. We put two next to each other, and it was too chaotic, and I know what I’m looking at! How would you deal with a bunch of ladies with attitude?
Every one is original
Even tho this is a series, everyone is unique. These two have enamel drips and Sharpie details. Wonder where they will go tomorrow?
