I don’t usually have so many divisions in a painting. This is more map like.
About four months ago I got my hip replaced. I’d had to wait two years, for other health problems. I’m doing better, but three hours in my studio is my limit, now. But oh, how much more energy when I’m not in constant intense pain!
This small painting has monofilament lines embedded into the surface. This is a problem in our oceans. On show at HCAC Small works show.
I’ve been working on these. The foam flower has given me the most trouble! The praying mantis’s have been interesting. One is on two canvases, the swath down the middle is the mounting board, not part of the painting. The other one is on a panel. So far, I struggle more with acrylic on canvas, than on panels. But the canvases were just sitting there!
