Painting as I see it.
This is a second go at Tangled Web. This is on gessoed paper, and I don’t think it’s better for ripples. And the gesso is gritty. Lines were pencil of charcoal. I imagine I’ll do more in Sharpie. After visit to Doctor for injection and pharmacy for prescriptions, I do feel like a bug caught in a web of “health care”.
There’s a quote, which I did not look up, about tangled web we weave. But the POTUS has his own problems. This is more about dealing with health insurance and the webs they weave, and their agenda to deceive.
In 2016 I needed a new hip. I got my spleen removed instead, to cure Chronic ITP. That didn’t work. Lots of my paintings with ovals represent platelets, or the lack of. The 2018 painting ,ala, Frida Kahlo, is of that surgery. 
Tomorrow, 10-16 is my last (REALLY) infusion for ITP. I do not have cancer, but most of the other people getting infusions do. It is fraught with emotions.
The scar is where he had the brain tumor removed. It was benign, but it didn’t stop the ringing in his ears. Hearing aids helped the tinninitis and now the tumor won’t grow into a problem. He titled this portrait 
“Zipperhead”.
I started this when I had health care ins. Now I don’t and the FEAR is mind killing. I wish the jerks in our govt. would get off their high horses and think about Americans, not reelection.
