A clue from a crossword puzzle that we were doing. The answer is sudden. I don’t know if the COVID virus qualifies, but it feels like it. To balance out the craziness I am using a weed in a field near my home. It is not stressed out.
Dandelions Don’t Care
Living in a rain forest, when all it does is rain, has it’s drawbacks. At least it isn’t snow.
Dandelions don’t care about politics
I love to paint. It banishes all the crazies outside, and leaves me a little peace.
Painting called CO2
It’s gloomy and I was trying for something not so gloomy. CO2 is necessary for plant growth, which generates oxygen for humans. Humans are generating too much CO2. Maybe the warm rainy weather is normal and not affected by human activity.
Jungle Folly
We redid the floor in our bathroom. The garden tub was never used, so I’m making it into a Jungle Folly. Lots of LED lights. If this winter is as dark and wet as summer and spring, we’re going to need a little jungle time.
Pollen
So much pollen this spring!
Livengood Studio Gallery
We’ve been working on displaying our work in the classroom next to my studio. Come by and see us!
Fallen leaves
Even though I call this one Dandelion, the fallen red oak leaf is there. It’s that season, again. This is on display at the Haywood County Arts Council Gallery, as part of the Haywood Open Studios tour. Come out into the country to see my studio on Fri. Oct. 23 or Sat. Oct. 24, 10-5. Driving directions are on my website, or on the Tour Maps, available in Waynesville.
More monarchs
I do not usually work small, but the Haywood County Arts Council (HCAC) Small Small Works show is in Nov.& Dec. The painting that I showed in the Master Gardener show was 20″x16″. This one is 6″x6″. Change of scale, brushes, focus.
Moving Canna Screen
We are taking the Canna Screen out of Art on Depot tomorrow, unless you swoop in and buy it! 80″x60″, oil on two panels.
