As bad as 2011 was for us financially, I’m more confident in my painting. So I expect each and every one of you to buy a painting in 2012. And I expect the US govt. to work. RIIIIGHT!

Painting as I see it.
As bad as 2011 was for us financially, I’m more confident in my painting. So I expect each and every one of you to buy a painting in 2012. And I expect the US govt. to work. RIIIIGHT!

Do you see a stream with rocks and ferns? It’s a good start.
I’m doing some paintings for the Master Gardners show. This is acrylic on gessoed paper.
I am impressed with the color subtlety from these washes. Some of the paints are murky and don’t make good washes, but this red did.
This is one of the photos from the Master Gardners. HCAC is hosting a show of artworks based on various gardens. I started this on gessoed paper as a sketch. The washes are interesting. I’m using acrylics, which I still contend with.
She’s been walkabout.
I’m still struggling w/ acrylics. This is an effort to loosen up.
If someone did this to a giraffe, it would be BAAAD!
The QR codes are grid, as are the crossword puzzles I do every day. A grid is a human imposition on nature. The white squares are mat board, one inch squares, glued to the painting. We will see where we go from here!
