I’m thinking about updating my website. 2013 was not a productive year. Hopefully it was a transitional year.
Recyled plastic sign board
I primed this plastic sign board. You can see how the brush skipped across the corrugations. The paint doesn’t stick perfectly, but this was a stab at loosening up after the Eye Wonder series. The self portrait was pretty straight forward, but the addition of the enamel drips is working nicely.
Year’s end
This has been an…interesting year. So instead of thinking of things that I believed were wrong, I’ll just set them down to be “features”. I haven’t posted due to holidays and illness. This is an updated WP, and I have to figure it out.
In progress
I’m still working on mastering acrylic paints, instead of them mastering me! The eye is from the Eye Wonder series idea, of observing (and wondering what I can do about it?).

I got a stomach bug after Forrest updated my WordPress. Trying to learn the new stuff. This pic was before, on my BD. Now, do I remember what I just did?
Numbers signifying what?
This illness has had me watching numbers (platelets) for three months. I’m over it! This eye will be ringed by bruise colored numbers. 
I like these women!
They don’t look important enough to add to a grant application, but I find them coming along when I need them. Today,s new discovery was wiping acrylic over the enamel drips. Previous faces were tinted with pastels.
Back to painting
What is painting? This is acrylic on canvas, with enamel drips. The Eye Wonder series are on paper, 8″x10″, with enamel drips. The series leaves lots of room for creativity for me, and the format is convenient for all of your framing needs. The questions about the unpredictability of living, and drippy paint, remain. The materials have been changed, to protect who? Canvas, paper, words, eyes, cats, barns, salamanders. Sure as you’re born you’re never gonna see a unicorn, unless an artist makes it.
Words
I’ tried some words in the manner that I did the Eye Wonder faces. Don’t know where these will go, but I’m pleased with the start!
