I bought puzzle pieces, painted them for a different project. Changed gears, glued them to a panel, and added more paint.
Dragonfly
Donna gave me a photo of a dragon fly. She’s commissioned a painting, but it will be smaller than this. This is a panel, 20″x18″. It’s a start.

New series
Lots of reasons that I have not posted in a long time. I am doing a series which have facial elements. There are a lot of things that I’m wondering about. Here is WTF #33.
Eyes, portals
For more than a year I have been working with eyes, especially women’s eyes. This painting on panel has a lot of pastels drawn into it. Looking forward, inward, outward and with a nod to what came before.
Map?
This started as a drawing on kraft paper. Then chalk and paint butted in. Not a landscape, not a map. Not a drawing, not a painting. But I am here!

I did three pieces in the same theme. I’m going to put them in the Small Works Show at the Haywood Arts Council. There is collaged things as well as painted elements. x’s, y’s makes you think of chromosomes and DNA, right?
