Bobbi, I wanted you to see the hardest working dog in the studio.  She’s sure that her next auction will net $700 billion dollars.  So you’re going to have to really bust your butt to keep up with her!

This is part of the Fury’s series, called “What the Hell Happened?”   She’s demanded attention off and on since last fall.   I think I’m getting her together.  The snow pix are experiments with dripped enamel underpainting.  Also, I am working on a grant proposal.  Guess it’s rude to mention it, since I’m not ready to post anything.  RASPBERRY!  So I’m rude, or disorganized.

If you’ve seen a Jackson Pollock painting in real life you’d know how seductive they are.  These are some experiments with drips.

Snow symbolizes tranquility and peace for me.  I love to hike in the snow.  Painting it is proving to be not so peaceful!

I’m trying to capture the emotion of a rock in snow.  It should be peaceful, but I keep getting all energetic and colorful.

Photographers, don’t gag, I know it’s crooked.  But seeing it in photo helps me. 

I saw a call for a show of artists’ books, at Asheville Book Works.  It has gotten me interested in the subject.  Some of the samples in the book I checked out from the library seem to deal more with origami and pretty paper.  Books have always been important to me.  I’m thinking about what I would want to put into a book.  I find it especially intriguing because all of the various crafts that I’ve learned could be used in making a book.  Hey, who knew all of this was leading somewhere?

We got four inches of rain, hooray.  WNC is still in drought conditions.

Does a talisman have an expiration date?  My biopsy came back clean! I’ve done 2 collages and one piece that is derivative of that work.  The second collage glared, so you’ll have to use your imagine.  I layered transparencies of the rainhat over prints of it.

For me faith is the foundation, hope is the added extra.
