I think I’m “just before” killing this painting. I don’t know what’s bothering me. Maybe I was foolish to try such and odd ratio. This is not the golden mien!
“View of the Parking Garage”
I did a series called “Corporate Clones”. Most were collages. I found this one when I was cleaning the studio. It was thin, so I added some paint.
antenna
Hugh was trying to help get wi fi in my studio. We went home for lunch. His cell would only stay connected if he made himself a human antenna. Ah, the joys of country living!
The moon needs work
You may not believe this, but I can see things in these photos that I miss in the studio. Since I’m using a flash it highlights things. Instead of glowing, my moon looks like it’s having a solar flare. So I know what this afternoons project it.
Several
I work on several paintings at once. Some need to dry and some need time to percolate in my mind. “Vision” has monofilament running thru it. The socket is not part of the art! River is part of the spirals.2-9-10
tree
The tree is thrusting into space. If birds evolved from dinosaurs, what will humans evolve into? Will the trees evolve so they can grow into space?
Tree of Life
More spirals. I need to emphasize the edge of the world at the bottom. Would different colors make this more appealing? Yeah, to who? Am I once again relying more on color than structure? Are my paintings skeletonless?
River
I’m stuck on spirals. Besides DNA, they describe paths, like a rivers.
Vision
You may not be able to tell, but there are strands of monofilament going thru the canvas. I’m going to see if backlighting will still send light along them. It did before I started painting. Some of the “strings” in the paint are from poured enamel paints.
White water
It rained all night. Our trickle of a creek is a bold stream today. The power was out all morning. Even tho I was warm and got some work done, I’m sooo glad it’s back on. My car’s in the shop so I was really stuck.
