I got a new latex enamel paint. I was working on this painting, and thought the enamel would be an addition. Eye wonder what the doctor will say about my platelets, tomorrow. This health scare has certainly interrupted my momentum in the studio! One lesson, time’s a wastin’!
Enamel dripping continues.
I’ve tried a set of cats. What do you think? This may go under shameless commerce, the Open House is coming up. But I think this is unique. And there are more cat lovers than people that will buy the Eye Wonder series. A bit of good news today. More platelets, than less. Still a long way to go.
Imagine Peace
Kinda hard to do right now.
Back to the Studio!
The drip paintings are morphing. I think I’ll make some into unique greeting cards. Open House Sept.22!
Eye Wonder continues
Before I went into the hospital, I had experimented with dripping words. Because of those starts, I had something to work on today, instead of trying to start flat footed. I think this may work into a handmade greeting card. Save the date, Sun. Sept. 22 for my art sale! Any proceeds will go to pay my medical bills. Thanks!
More of the Eye Wonder Series
The series continues. The dripped underpainting gives me a wealth of ideas on what each of these gals is wondering about.
More Eye Wonder
I visited Cathey at Art on Depot in Waynesville, NC today. She said people were noticing my new work. I think this series is
fascinating, I never know who will show up.
Women’s place in the world
Forget the Middle East, the rights of women in the USA are disappearing at a heck of a rate. Larry Summers, who thinks that women cannot be educated in math, is set to take over the Federal Reserve. This series, Eye Wonder, is about the strictures put upon women.
How this series is made.
Forrest suggested that we do a video to show the process of creating each image in this series, which I call Eye Wonder. Of course parts are missing from the camera and our editing software is out of date. I am going to post five of the series today, in the order they were done. Each one turns out unique. I am adding more media, as I go.
Eye Wonder What Happened?
My sons, who were very close growing up, do not speak. It breaks my heart. I have done a series of paintings, of eyes, whether going in or out of my soul, I cannot say. Vacancy where there was love? Here’s one with a detail.
